Making the most of my NDIS

As most of you are aware by now late in 2019 my NDIS funding and package all got approved and I got a decent amount of funds to be able to start doing things to help me achieve my goals and also help with my needs on a regular basis.

Since being approved I have not been stuck at home, I have actually been getting out and doing things with a support worker who is there to help me when my anxiety, panic attacks and anything else I need. So far we have been to the pool, been to the beach several times, gone out to lunch, I have had a worker come in and assist for housework and clothes washing as normal day to day things for me are a bit hard due to me getting way too overwhelmed and also not being able to stand on my leg for long periods of time.

I have been talking with one of my support workers and we are starting to make plans to things that I want to do, some of these things are abseiling and actually going sky-diving. And due to my issues with heights and my anxiety if I can do these things it will be a massive achievement for me. But this is for a lot longer down the track. But we are in discussions about doing them possibly later in the year.

Lots more exciting things going to be happening soon too … I will update when I know for sure what is happening. 🙂
