Today’s Christmas Eve Lunch + A Few Pics

Today in Australia is Christmas Eve 2019 (even though it is approaching Christmas Day as it is 10.15pm). And as I have been in the supported accommodation program I am in on the Central Coast since May of 2018, this is now the second Christmas I have spent off the streets from being homeless. Today we had a Christmas Lunch at the main residence house as the support workers do not work tomorrow unless there is an emergency in one of the program units or at the house.

I was anxious about attending, but there weren’t many people there this year, so that did help. And I also met a really nice guy by the name of Jake. Usually, I have trouble opening up to people, but I felt so comfortable and at ease around him that it was great to have someone there to talk too. We exchanged numbers, which is something I also don’t normally do. But I felt it was the right thing to do for me today.

Below are some pictures of today’s lunch that we had.

Thank you to all the Coimba staff for everything they do for us and how they go above and beyond to help us all with whatever we need, whenever we need it. For me my life has been totally turned around. A lot of that is thanks to you guys. Words can not say how much that is appreiated.
